Thanks to the Blocked phrases function, you can customise the search process by eliminating chosen phrases from the search results. You will also increase the precision and effectiveness of searches in your online shop.
How does it work?
You can add blocked phrases when you do not want the search engine to return any search results to the chosen words. This feature is great for vulgarisms, words commonly considered offensive, competition-related phrases, etc.
The QuarticOn's AI Smart Search is characterised by an intelligent search for words close to phrases that are not on the website (i.e. despite the fact that the words are not used anywhere). On the one hand, it eliminates the problem of typos in entered phrases, on the other, it carries the risk that the search engine will "add" the search results to a phrase that you do not want to "associate" with your products.
If a user enters a blocked phrase into the search box, they will not receive any results for it (No search results).
How to add blocked phrases in the customer panel?
1. Click on the Search tab in the menu on the left.
2. Then, go to the Blocked phrases tab in the menu on the left.
3. Click the Add a blocked phrase button and enter the phrase that you want to eliminate from the search results.
4. Enter a chosen blocked phrase. If you want, you can add more phrases by clicking the Add another blocked phrase button. Then click Save.
How to manage blocked phrases?
All entered blocked phrases can always be edited (a pencil icon) or deleted (a trash can icon).
