Recent queries is a feature that allows you to display a selected number of phrases from the search history for a given e-shop user.
How does it work?
Shortly after clicking on the small search engine (autocomplete), before the user starts typing a search phrase and before it exceeds the search length (usually 3 characters), a list of recently searched phrases will appear below the search field. Example in one of the Polish shops, in which the feature was implemented:
Clicking on a phrase will take them to the search results.
The user can delete a single phrase from the searching history (X visible when hovering over the selected phrase) or all phrases at once (Clear history in bold).
Feature settings in the customer's panel
To access the feature settings, go to the AI Smart Search panel by clicking Search in the menu on the left.
Then go to Settings and click Recent queries.
Here you have the option to turn the feature on or off, as well as set the number of queries displayed in the user's search history.
